National Gypsum Shiploader Modification

We were awarded this project for our innovative and economical design proposal.
In 2000, CSL International asked engineers to propose a design-build solution to increase the height and reach of the existing shiploader boom. These changes were necessary to accommodate larger ships.
Through our innovative design we were able to offer a suitable solution to increase the clearance at the ship's rail and extended the reach of the boom by 2.4 meters at a cost 65% lower than our competitors. We met the client’s time constraint by maximizing shop work and keeping operation shutdown to a minimum. We provided our client with a turnkey solution to improve their productivity.
